Marco is a London based photographer of Italian and Czech origins.
He is particularly interested in how politics, religion, natural events and the spaces we inhabit inevitably affect us. He developed a number of series on these topics while travelling around the world: from Uzbekistan to Qatar, from Nepal to Japan. His projects are about mixing elements of “fine art” and documentary photography. Consequently he usually tries to merge visual description of spaces and portraits of those who live in them. He works mainly using medium format film which results in a contemplative observation, a sort of detached view without loosing his connection with people as they are ultimately the protagonists of his stories.
